William and Harry both love the country life that is a mark of the English royal family. They are keen hunters- as well as keen walkers. They enjoy the freedom and fresh air the countryside gives them; their mother once compared the boys being in crowded, busy London like being caged in a zoo. William says of being allowed his own time to walk about his family's country estates: " ...It's quite nice because you can just go off and ponder. You can think about things. It's your own time." Harry refers to being able to ride about the countryside on his motorbike as "shaking off the cobwebs."
But William and Harry love a good party as much as anyone else, and although their Highgrove home is in a well-known party county, they enjoy a retreat into the city- if not too often. "I'm not a party animal, despite what people might think, but I like to go out sometimes, like anyone else," William says.
