    The Highgrove Set



    The term Highgrove Set came into popular use with royal watchers a few years ago to describe the country friends of William and Harry, much like the terms Aggie (students at the Royal Agriculutrual College who are connected with the princes) and Glosse Posse (the fast-moving, wealthy city set around the princes). The people in this country set are known for thier love of the country life- activities most known to be in the countryside, such as polo, and, before it was outlawed, foxhunting. The title is after Princes Charles's country estate, Highgrove, the place William publicy calls "home." The term Highgrove Set came into hugely popular use among royal writers in January 2002, when about thirty of the members were accused of leading Harry into drinking and drug taking, and has since then had a negative tint to it.
