...for June 2001

On 3 June, 2001, Hary and his father played polo together in public for the first time (William was not present). Just over a week later, Harry was photographed at another match, this time watching and playing with girls around his car. He made headlines for his realtionship (said by the palace to be just a friendship) with Lizzy Ward, because of her small amount of education and humble upbringing.

Shortly after began the rumors that Harry wanted to spend his gap year working in a kitchen at his favourtie ski resort, Klosters, learning about food and, in particular, wine. These rumors, which never came to pass, followed his persistantly until January 2002.

William was away on his gap year, at this point in Africa. By his 19th birthday on the 21st, though, he had returned home to spend the day quitely.
