NICOSIA, Cyprus -- Prince Harry has completed a military exercise on Cyprus, British military officials said Wednesday.
"As part of the (officers') commissioning course, he was on the island for the exercise," said British military spokesman Capt. Crispin Coates.
Some 200 officer cadets, including Harry, 21, took part in "Spring Victory" at the British sovereign base of Episcopi, western Cyprus, Coates said.
Former colonial ruler Britain maintains two military bases on Cyprus, which gained independence in 1960. The other base is at Dhekelia in eastern Cyprus.
Prince Harry is third in line to the British throne, after his brother, Prince William, 23, and father, Prince Charles, 57.

Prince Harry has been given a wax statue at the famous Madame Tussauds in honour of his 21st birthday. Prince William's own waxwork was unveiled last year- and it created a wave of visitors sending in requests for his flame-haired younger brother. Now that the young royal is 21, he has a statue of his own for visitors to view on their way through the muesem. In honour of her golden jubilee in 2002, the Queen was also given a wax statue around that time.

EXCLUSIVE HARRY HANGS UP BUSH GAFFES IN ARMY ROOM
By Laurie Hanna (2)
PRINCE Harry has a huge poster in his Sandhurst room
mocking George Bush.
It has a list of 100 infamous Bushisms under the headline "Great quotes of our time."
Top of the bill is one the US President's best-known gaffes on the conflict in Iraq - "I think war is a dangerous place." Bush, left, also said: "Our enemies never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country, and neither do we." A source at the prince's Surrey barracks said: "Harry's got a great sense of humour."
Harry, right, also has a topless pin-up of a High Street Honey - one a series of posters of FHM magazine readers' girlfriends - and a silhouette of soldiers against a sunset in Iraq.

ROYAL EXCLUSIVE Harry joins Army pals on Cyprus pub
crawl
By Dean Rousewell (3)
PRINCE Harry is partying in sunny Cyprus with 250 Sandhurst mates - but they've been banned from notorious Ayia Napa.
He will be letting his hair down today as the wannabe Army officers start 48 hours' leave on the island.
Harry, 20, has spent the past week being put through rigorous training near Limassol.
Sources say he and his pals will now set off on a giant pub crawl - but they have been ordered NOT to visit Ayia Napa.
The resort is the rave capital of the Med and has been hit by a string of rape and drug claims.
An insider said: "It's a tradition that at the end of a very hard foreign exercise cadets go out and celebrate.
"They will have been warned not to get into trouble but you can't stop 250 young soldiers abroad getting drunk.
"Harry is sensible enough to know he can't go TOO mad and run the risk of getting arrested.
"But he knows how to have a good time and this is a rare chance for him to unwind with some mates."
Prince Harry is in Cyprus as part of his military training. Dressed in camaflouge and face paint, Harry trained with out cadets on the island. Pictures will later be released of the training exercise.

AFTER 10 weeks apart Kate Middleton might have been hoping boyfriend Prince William would spend his first full weekend off from Sandhurst wining and dining her.
So she may have been a little disappointed when he put the romance on hold in order to dash off to his former school to take part in an old boys’ sports match. But their affection for each other was soon evident as Kate, 24, greeted William with a kiss as he left the pitch.
One onlooker said: “She was beaming and looked very proud of her man.”
The super-fit heir to the throne had turned out for the annual Eton College Field Game – a violent mixture of rugby and soccer which has been played since 1847.
Demonstrating the benefits of the physical regime at Sandhurst military academy, where he is training to be an Army officer, William, 23, was his team’s star.
An onlooker said: “He was one of the fittest on the field, chasing up and down the pitch and hardly ever out of breath.” Kate, who caused a stir in a fur hat when she was Prince Charles’s guest at the Cheltenham festival last week, did not seem to mind the sporting interruption to their weekend together.
During the match Aston Villa fan William caused some confusion by sporting an Ipswich Town shirt, prompting speculation he may have changed allegiance.
And TV duo Ant and Dec will be able to ask him why thanks to landing a rare TV interview with William and Harry.
The Princes and their father will appear with the I’m A Celebrity hosts for a special ITV show to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Prince’s Trust.
Ant McPartlin admitted he was nervous about the interview due to be screened in May. “If we get it wrong then it’s off with our heads. I haven’t a clue what to ask.”

PRINCE William got a tender embrace from girlfriend Kate Middleton at the weekend while brother Harry's girl Chelsy Davy cut a lonely figure.
The young couple looked all loved-up after Wills, 23, returned to his former school Eton College to play for the old boys side in its ancient field game.
Friends said Kate, 23, and Wills' relationship is going from strength to strength.
But rumours are that South African Chelsy, 21, back home in Cape Town, is struggling to maintain a long distance romance with trainee Army officer Prince Harry, 21.
These days her new Mercedes sports car, a gift from her rich dad, seems to be the love of her life.
She was snapped after driving down to the shops to console herself with cigarettes and chocolate.
Harry, training at Sandhurst military academy, is flying over next month to take Chelsy on safari.
Sources say it could be make or break. But Wills and Kate can't get enough of each other. An onlooker said: "At one point she even messed about with his hair. They looked very happy." It seems the brothers are the prince and the pauper when it comes to love.
Harry goes great guns (6)
Crouching in the grass, rifle at the ready, his face daubed with camouflage paint, Prince Harry looks the epitome of Army resilience.
But in 12 months of the toughest physical training, there must have been moments when he wondered if it was all worth it.
Tonight it will be. With girlfriend Chelsy Davy on his arm, the 21-year-old prince will attend a ball to celebrate his graduation from Sandhurst.
And according to friends, Miss Davy, who flew in to Heathrow yesterday, has packed a ' showstopping' dress for the big night.
As she stepped off the plane, the 20-year-old Zimbabwean student found herself surrounded by five armed police officers.
It was the least Prince Harry could do to make sure his girlfriend had the safest of arrivals.
He is due to graduate from the Royal Military Academy this morning in a passing out parade before the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall and his brother Prince William.
Yesterday Clarence House marked the milestone by releasing a series of photographs of the prince taken on manoeuvres in Cyprus last month.
Harry, who plans to join The Blues and Royals division of The Household Cavalry, the oldest and most senior regiment in the Army, looked more than ready for combat in the pictures.
Miss Davy has decided not to attend the parade for fear of deflecting attention from Harry on his big day. But she will be at his side at the passing out ball tonight.
She apparently intends to have a 'heart to heart' with her boyfriend over his recent choice of R&R.
Friends said she feared his visit to the Spearmint Rhino lapdancing club in Slough last Thursday had overshadowed the ball - their first official function together. "She was so excited at the thought of walking into the ball on his arm as it will be the first time they have done anything like that together and fears Harry's visit to that club has taken the shine off it a bit," said a source close to her.
"She knows Harry has a social life when she's not around and would never start laying down the law. She just feels very embarrassed by the attention that it has thrust onto them as a couple."
Harry, who has not seen his girlfriend since the New Year, also plans a private holiday in Mozambique with her later in the month.

IT IS one of Prince Harry's favourite events of the year, allowing
him to indulge two of his bestloved pastimes – polo and partying.
But the young Prince may be forced to sit out this year's
prestigious Cartier fixture at the Guards Polo Club after luxury car-
maker Rolls-Royce confirmed it will no longer be sponsoring his
Royal team.
The news has sent shockwaves through the polo-playing community and has led to fears that the team will have to pull out of the event for the first time.
Sponsors contribute up to £1million to cover costs and sources say it is unlikely that the Royal side, which is called the Prince of Wales' team despite being led by Prince Harry, will be able to enter this year's tournament in July without the support of a big backer. According to insiders, bosses at Rolls are concerned that the wayward Prince – whose annual appearances at the Cartier always end up as a boozy day out – could jeopardise the brand's reputation. Harry is usually spotted drinking and dancing until dawn and two years ago caused a major security scare when he refused to stay in the VIP area and instead spent the night knocking back Vodka Red Bulls and chain-smoking with fellow guests.
Harry took on the leadership of the team after the Prince of Wales announced his retirement from the game last year because of an ongoing back problem.
My polo insider said: `Rolls's decision came as a big surprise. It's unlikely to be down to costs because the firm is hugely wealthy. `The only thing that people can think of is that the company has been influenced by the news that Charles is handing over the Royal side and perhaps Harry isn't right for them.'
The 21-year-old Prince has, of course, quit smoking and found a new discipline since starting at Sandhurst – but that doesn't seem to have swayed bosses at the car firm.
Rolls-Royce is still associated with a Cartier polo event in Dubai and insists its decision to end backing for the Prince's team has nothing to do with Harry.
A spokesman said: `We had a two-year contract to support the Prince of Wales' side. At the end of last season it was felt that we needed to focus more on events near our home territory at Goodwood in Sussex, where our factory is based.'
