Prince William has one pet...a black, female, lab dog named Widgeon. The name Widgeon comes from a type of duck. Widgeon had a litter of puppies in 1998. She is often seen in pictures accompanying Prince William. Her most notable appearance was at Balmoral in the
photo call in 1997. She was most helpful to Prince William who instead of looking at the cameras could focus his attention on her.
Against contrary belief, Prince William does not own a horse. He has said that he rides his father's horses'. When riding at the Beaufort Hunt, he rode one of Charles' horses. He also rides one of Charles' polo ponies. When he was younger, he used to have a pony named Trigger. Harry's was Smokey. Also, when he was younger, he and Harry shared a rabbit called 'Bunny' and a terrier dog.
